Waitlist Update

Firstly, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the passionate families who have patiently waited on our waitlist. Your dedication means a great deal to us. Meanwhile, we must also let you know that our waitlist has grown substantially, with over 300 children currently on it. We are trying our best to accommodate everyone's needs.

If you require an immediate spot, we recommend exploring other childcare centres with more immediate availability. For those who are committed to waiting and are interested in remaining on our waitlist, we kindly ask you to check in with us every 2-3 months to ensure we have your most up-to-date information.

Typically, we send out enrollment confirmations one month prior to the start date. Families will have 48 hours upon receiving the enrollment notice to decide whether to accept the spot. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this process together.

Here at Jenny’s Child Care & Play Centre, we would like to express our gratitude for all the amazing 5-star feedback we have received from our beloved parents. We are thrilled to hear that we have exceeded your expectations and provided the best care possible for your little ones.

We take pride in our work and it shows in the smiles of our happy children. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child is safe, happy and engaged in fun activities.

However, we are not oblivious to the fact that some child care centres have not received the same 5-star feedback as us. We understand that every parent has different expectations and priorities when it comes to their child's care. It's just like ordering a pizza, some prefer thin crust, while others prefer deep dish. And that's okay.

As much as we strive to please everyone, we understand that it might not always be possible. We acknowledge that it is human nature to have different opinions and preferences. One day, a parent might not be happy with our services, despite our best efforts. It's okay, we're not perfect, we're just a bunch of humans trying to do our best.

We hope that you, as our valued parent, can understand that child care is not an easy task. It requires patience, dedication and a whole lot of love. We take great pride in our work and are committed to providing the best care for your child.

So, here's to all the parents who have given us amazing feedback. We appreciate you and your trust in us. And to those who might not have been satisfied (not yet any negative feedback :), we still appreciate your feedback, because it helps us improve and become better at what we do.

The Importance of Social Interactions for COVID-19 Children

When you consider the first experiences of a child who has been born and raised during the pandemic, it is significantly different to those who were born even mere years earlier. While many children begin childcare and move onto kindergarten when they reach the appropriate age, many children now are kept home or attend school virtually. Or, they attend school but the idea of germs, wearing masks, getting vaccines is made a priority. How will this impact the current generation of children?

 Enrolling your child in a childcare program has many benefits, both short term and long term. Through childcare, children:

 -        Build relationships with peers

Children are able to interact with others their own age. Friendships are key to developing self-esteem, self-worth, and security. Children are able to feel a sense of belonging within this community of friends and find comfort in having someone to play with, speak with, and grow with.

 -        Build relationships with educators

Children will be able to find comfort and guidance in adults outside of their immediate family. Children will be supported with their growth and development from a place of patience, encouragement, and experience. This experience will also support children in finding comfort in their teachers as they attend school and spend longer days away from home.

 -        Develop prosocial behaviors

When entering childcare, children are developing connections with a diverse group of individuals. These children come from different families, have different interests, and different abilities. Through normalizing diversity and individuality, children perceive the world as a home of a multitude of personalities, goals, and passions.

 -        Develop language skills

Children are now communicating with people outside of their home. This can promote a child’s adaptability in conveying their thoughts. A parent may immediately know what a child is asking for by a gesture or word (or babble). When interacting with a newer person in their life, children begin to naturally find other means to communicate if their message is not being understood, and find support in finding this means from their educators.

 There are a plethora of benefits of enrolling your child in a childcare setting. Social development is a key area you will begin to see changes in. Whether it’s the new friends they have been playing with, or the fun experiences they have, children will reap the benefits of this new social environment.

November in-person Tours are Available

Our November in-person tours are available now. A huge thanks to all families who have been waiting patiently. We are still completely full at this moment, the spots will open up in summer 2023 when our preschoolers graduate and move to Kindergarten.

We Installed Sanuvair S300

We have taken into consideration the “new normal” by installing Sanuvair S300. This state-of-the-art technology is used to improve air quality by eliminating airborne particles., allergens, and contaminants. This system is equipped with UV air purification and HEPA filters that will have air bio-sterilized.

It has a four-step air cleaning process:

1. Mold, virus and bacteria are pulled past a J-shaped dual wavelength lamp parallel to airflow inside an aluminum reflection chamber, for maximum UVC disinfection of airborne contaminants.

2. Odors and VOCs are attacked via photo-oxidation.

3. A MERV 8 pre-filter captures large particles.

4. A HEPA final filter captures 99.97% of particles of 0.3 micron and larger.
